Is the cap itself made of some sort of metal or plastic?

I spoke to the manufacturer about the Replacement Center Cap part # CXF106B. They informed me that the top removable cap is made of plastic and the cylindrical body that is left on the wheel is made of metal. The retaining ring on the cap is also metal.
