If you want a single item that can both store tools and supply additional fuel capacity for your Ram 3500 long bed you might consider the DeeZee Combo Auxiliary Tank # DZ92740X. This unit combines a 43-gallon tank and a tool chest in one product that measures 54 long x 18 deep x 17-3/4-inches tall.

If you prefer to have the tool box near the rear of the bed then instead you could use the 38-gallon tank # DZ91752X at the cab and then use left and right black wheel well tool boxes # DZ95B and # DZ94B. These tool boxes will give you easier access since their lids open to the inside of the bed.
