Video Transcript for Mount: UWS Truck Bed Fender Well Toolbox with Drawers on a 2010 Ford F-250 Super Duty

What's up everybody, it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this UWS toolbox that goes over the fender, and it even has drawers in here to help keep your tools organized. We're putting it on our 2010 Ford F-250 Super Duty. Let's check it out! First thing I wanna point out is there's two different sections. So, there's a little bit of the section of the box the space in here is taken up by the drawers, but that's a nice feature for the smaller items that you need organized. So that way that you don't have to dig through the box to get to those.

So, you can push those drawers in, it even has dividers if you wanna use them, you can put them in if you need them. If you don't, you don't have to use them, but that can even help even smaller pieces stay separated. If you need bolts or something or washers put in there you can do that. That way, they all stay together. Close it up with a tee handle.

Then on top is gonna be more like a normal toolbox where there's space to put in. We got an emergency kit in here right now. We got some straps put in there too. It's again, just helps everything kind of stay organized and not sprawled out around the bed. One thing I do wanna say is you are gonna have to drill to get this installed so you can make sure you read the instructions check out before you drill.

Make sure it exactly works like it's supposed to look at things like the drawer up front and the door, making sure it doesn't hit anything on the inside of your bed. There's plenty of space for it to open and then double check your drilling, even go underneath the truck, make sure you don't drill something you might regret. So with that in mind, ours isn't attached. You might see it move back and forth just a little bit but we wanted to give you a good idea how it's gonna fit in your F-250. Nice thing about the way this is set up, is you can get to your tools from the outside of the truck.

So you don't have to climb in the bed. That's why it's facing this way. That's why the latch is up and above the rails. So you can easily just pull that, then lift the lid up to get into your toolbox. Looking inside the toolbox, you can see how much space there is gonna be 3.9 cubic feet of space. So there's plenty of room for our emergency kit. We've got our ratchet strap, we could fill it to the brim with some other things too. A few more ratchet straps, some miscellaneous tools for sure. The latch is pretty heavy duty. I like that, cause you wanna rely on that to open that lid every time. One thing to note is it doesn't have any gas strut assist so you're gonna have to lift the lid up yourself not a huge deal, but just wanted show that part off. As, as I pop that you see it doesn't spring open like it would in another toolbox. Take a look at the lid. You can see the striker. This is what's gonna go into the latch and I like that you can adjust it. So if you're loosen these here, you can slide it back and forth. And that way, if it starts to wear out over time and it's not closing or latching correctly, you can fix that. The lids also foam injected. So it's not just a hollow lid. That's gonna help keep it structure and insulate the box. You'll see a foam weather seal around the outside the lid as well. And that's just gonna help keep the elements out. Now, if you take a look at it the way this sits, it doesn't just stop at the top of the toolbox. It goes down quite a bit. So that way it's gonna be harder for the elements to go up and in. The whole box is gonna be made out of aluminum with a diamond pattern finish on there. So I like that it does have texture. It's not just the glossy. I feel like those get scratched or dented far easier, this way, If you do have some scratches, cause it's gonna happen, it's gonna be a little more hidden. And normally you don't just get one toolbox. So there is one for the passenger side as well. If you wanna get both of them and you can also still have room for another toolbox up here in your F-250, let's get a measurement and see exactly how much space you have. It looks like from the inside of the bed to this box is like 40 and a half inches of space. So you could probably put another toolbox right here just to kit out your whole truck. Let's go over some measurements real quick. So from top to bottom, it's gonna be 24 and a half inches. And then across it's gonna be eight and three quarters inches. And then from the front here to the back portion against the wheel, well it's gonna be 18 inches here in the wheel well, it's gonna be 20 and one quarter inches from right here to the end over here. And it's gonna be 10 and three quarter inches from here down to the truck bed. Some other measurements that maybe help you out is how much space you have with the tailgate closed. So it's gonna be six inches from here to this bar at the back of the tailgate. And then if you go from the toolbox to the tailgate itself it's gonna be about eight and a half. And then finally, it's gonna be 48 inches from the front to the back. We also have locks for the drawer section and the up top toolbox. However, you're gonna have two different sets of keys for both of those. So just keep that in mind that you need both of these on your ring. Overall, I think this is a nice thing to have in the back of your truck, help you organize those tools. Especially, if you get one on the driver, one on the passenger side, working together you can store all that stuff that just kind of cluttered up your bed and you can lock it up, so nobody can mess with it when you're not around.
