Should RV Steps be Fully Extended When Replacing Motor
Updated 09/21/2018 | Published 09/20/2018 >
Question:
I just ordered a new motor from your company today with the gear box. Question is, should the step be fully extended when installing the motor and plugging in for power? I assume it would need to be since that is the only way to remove the old motor.

When installing the Replacement Motor # LC301695 on your Lippert Coach Steps you will first want to fully extend the steps. As you mentioned, doing this will give you much more room to work with to both remove the old motor and install the new one.
I have attached an image of the instructions that you might also find helpful.
