PDC Sensor Malfunction with Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 76226 Installed on a 2016 BMW X3

Question:

I just had my trailer hitch professionally installed. Immediately following this installation my PDC sensors around the whole car do not work. Back up camera works AFTER pressing the BMW Mouse acknowledging PDC malfunction. Given the complex nature of the install, or so it would appear, given all the technology in cars today, is this type of work beyond the scope of most installers? or are we talking a mis connection etc. any comments are appreciated and any similar experiences relayed and their solutions. thanks,

Although the installation of the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76226 on your 2016 BMW X3 is pretty involved, anyone who works with vehicles on a regular basis should be able to perform the installation without much issue.

If you check out the attached instructions it looks like on step 8 the sensors would need to be disconnected. It sounds like they may have just forgotten to connect it back together. I would verify with the shop that did the work to see if they did, in fact, reconnect your wiring.
