Can Curt Multi-Fit Hitch 13703 Tow Car on Tow Dolly

This will mount on the frame of my Jayco Eagle but without remounting the trailer rear bumper it comes 10 inches short of the bumper. Is it acceptable to use an extension and will the car dolly need brakes?

You could use an 8 inch hitch extension like the part # C45791 to gain the additional length you need. This would work well with a tow dolly and the Curt hitch # 13703 that you referenced.
It would be a good idea if the tow dolly had brakes. We have tow dollies that have brakes like the Roadmaster Tow Dolly part # RM-2050-1. The odd thing about this dolly though is that you have to wire a 7-way to it so that the brakes are active. For that you'd need the part # HS381-9000.
