Question:
Hi. I would like to know if the 2016 f53 chassis is pre wired for trailer brakes and what do I need to hook it up ? Also in the RV packet there was a plug in connector with a short harness labled for trailer lights. Do you know where this goes ?

There is a brake controller plug on the 2016 Ford F-53 chassis that will allow you to plug in a brake controller. The connector on the F-53 chassis (starting in the 2012 model year) is located to the left of the steering column under the dash near the emergency brake release. I have included a picture pointing it out. You will need wiring harness # 3035-P to plug in a Tekonsha brake controller such as the super sweet P3 # 90195.
The wiring harness that you found labeled for trailer lights I would have to see. If you can email me some pictures of it I can figure out what it is for.
