Replacement Grease Seals for EZ-Loader Axle
Updated 07/12/2018 | Published 07/11/2018 >
Question:
Hello, I have an ezloader trailer with dexter hubs and ezlube axle. I know the appropriate inner hub seals are RG06-020 seal ID. is 1.5, OD. is 1.98. But, the issue I have with the axle is the surface upon which the inner seal mates is rusty. Maybe Id succeed in cleaning up the surface. Id like to know if there is a bearing buddy inner seal equivalent to the RG06-020? That would solve my problem with the seal surface being rusted. Thanks.

There is not a bearing buddy inner seal that is the correct size for your application. I recommend using a little Coca-Cola to clean up that rust (it may seem out of the norm but it works due to the carbonation and acidity) and then wipe it clean. This should remove any rust issue and then you can use a little brake cleaner and then new seals # RG06-020 to give you a proper seal.
