What happens if the tow vehicle already has a trailer brake controller and you are trying to tow a trailer that has one of these installed in it?

If you installed the Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller # 3430001 on a trailer it would not allow the vehicle's brake controller to activate the brakes since that circuit would not run to the tow vehicle at all anymore and would only run to the # 3430001.

What if I want to use my trailer with the brake controller in the tow vehicle? Do I have to uninstall the Autowbrake or is there a way to switch back and forth?

If you wanted to use the brake controller from your tow vehicle, the Autowbrake would need to be completely removed. This is because the blue brake output wire from the tow vehicle's 7-Way (which is what your controller uses to send power to the trailer brakes) isn't wired to the Autowbrake at all.
