Question:
Would like to install one of these on the bedroom opening of a 2016 Keystone Cougar 313RLI but dont know how to get 12 volt power to this model of MaxxAir Fan. I took the interior flange off of the existing vent no fan and I dont see any wiring to connect to. Would I need to fish wire from a light or the bathroom fan?

The MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed - Smoke # MA00-07500K requires 12V power at 5 amp draw. Since you are installing in a location that doesn't have power wires run, you will need to run a power wire like # 12-1-1 or # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) to your battery or to another 12V power source that can handle that draw. There is a good chance the bathroom fan or a light could be a good tie in point as long as you tie in prior to a switch.
You will want to be careful when fishing wire to make sure you don't snag the wire insulation and expose the wire.
For the installation on the exterior, I recommend the installation kit # 344270KITW. I've attached a video to assist.

I understand the black is the positive. I watched another video where the wires were connected to a cigarette lighter connection and he connected black to black and red to red, Was that right?
