The orientation of the kingpin coupler block that comes with the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System with Adapter part # AM3200 will depend on which pin box you have on your trailer. If you have an extended pin box then you will need to place the kingpin coupler block so that the opening is towards the trailer but if you have a short pin box then the you will need to place the kingpin coupler block so that the opening is towards the vehicle. If you have a medium pin box then you can install it either way. I have attached an article that will tell you if you have an extended, short, or medium pin box.
In order to install this hitch on your 2001 Ford Super Duty I recommend using the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit part # RP50082-58 which is a custom fit for your vehicle and will not require any drilling into the frame. If you are instead looking for a more universal option that will require drilling into the frame then I recommend the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit part # RP30035.

My son and I each bought a 3200 hitch. He said his two bolts that just need to be snug slipped into his coupler easy. Mine had to driven in with a hammer, mine isn’t going to fall off. But, I wondered why mine would be so tight and there should be any concern?
