To convert your single axle trailer to a double axle, you will want to start with some basic measuring. Then you will want to determine if you will be we matching your current axle or replacing it. If you are matching your current axle, you will need to get the spring seat to spring seat dimensions and the hub face to hub face dimensions and I can assist from there.
The easiest option is to replace your axle and use the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System with Hubs - 5 on 4-1/2 - Regular Tires - 2,000 lbs # A20RS545 or the 4 on 4 inch hubs # A20RS440. This system replaces the leaf spring suspension and axles for an easy bolt on application that can be used for tandem axle trailers. You will need to utilize a 2 inch square bar (not included) between each assembly utilizing the integrated holes.
My recommendation is to use the # A20RS545 along with the Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Tire w/ 12" Galvanized Spoke Wheel # AM31202 for the easiest conversion for a trailer of this size.
