Question:
Need to know where is the brake light switch on a 8600 05 International
asked by: Elton
Expert Reply:
If your 2005 International 8600 has hydraulic brakes, then the brake light switch should be located somewhere right above the brake pedal. I was unable to locate what color this wire might be, so you will simply need to test the factory wires with a circuit tester like # PTW2993. You are looking for the wire that only receives power with the brake pedal depressed, and no power with any other function.
Once found, this is the wire that will connect to the red wire on the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller # 90195 that you were looking at.
