Question:
Have a 2016 International 4300 with air brakes. I need to install a 7-pin trailer plug but the truck does not have any of the wiring to accommodate a trailer plug. What wiring harnesses, fuses, or relays do I need to make this work? I also need to install an electric brake controller so I will need any info on proper wiring I need for that as well.

I have a few different options for you, an air controlled trailer brake controller like the Hayes Air Actuated Trailer Brake Controller part # HA100400C or an electric controlled trailer brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195. If your local state laws require the brake lights to be illuminated when the engine (jake) brake is activated then you'll want to go with an air controlled trailer brake controller as this is the only option that will do this. If your local state laws do not require the brake lights to illuminate when the engine brake is engaged then you can just use a standard electric controlled trailer brake controller which is much easier to install and more cost effective.
That said, regardless of which option you choose you'll need a few more parts to complete your setup and wire everything up. I have attached a list of these below:
Upgraded Heavy Duty ModuLite Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C59496
Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7
Deka Jacketed 2 Wire part # 10-2-1
The Upgraded Heavy Duty ModuLite Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness will tee into the tail light circuits for the standard lighting signals and then the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller provides the rest of the stuff needed for the brake controller connections. It comes with a mounting bracket and circuit tester for install as well.
