Fifth Wheel Rail Kit Recommendation for 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD Short Bed
Updated 06/07/2018 | Published 06/06/2018 >
Question:
I have a Valley Industries Power Pull Glider 16K that came with my new fifth wheel trailer. The gentleman selling it said he would include the rails which I assume would be 10 bolt industry standard but I’ll need mounting brackets to fit my truck, 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.5’ bed not longbed. What model number for Curt or Reese would that be? Thanks!

Since we can't recommend mixing fifth wheel rail and bracket manufacturers the best option we have would be to go with an all new rail kit. Which for the the best option would be the Reese Custom Install Kit part # RP50064-58.
This is a custom install kit confirmed as a fit for your 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD short bed and would be our best option. I attached an install video for this kit on a very similar 2005 3500HD as yours for you to check out as well.
