what else will I need. I think I prefer an installed brake controller that I dont have to remove in and out of jeep. Please recommend all componets

We do have the Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5 available for your 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited. This fits as long as your JL has the standard factory bumper without a winch or guard.

For a compatible tow bar I recommend going with the Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520 along with the coiled Safety Cables # RM-643 which gives you a great tow bar and safety cables rated for up to 6,000 lbs.

Please note that a complete flat towing setup includes a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have any of these products just let me know and I can make some recommendations.

Since we confirmed the EZ5 base plate kit fits your JL Wrangler Unlimited and I already recommended the tow bar and safety cables we just need the wiring, braking system, and a high-low adapter. The wiring kit that I like to recommend is the Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. Once it is installed you simply have to plug the 7-Way and 6-Way into your motorhome and Jeep and you are all set! Please note that the Brake Light Relay Kit # RM-88400 will also need to be installed to ensure your brake lights do not override the turn signals. Another perk about the wiring kit is that you can install the Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 to help keep your battery from draining. Just connect the kit to the battery on your Jeep and then wire it to the center pin on the 6-Way connector from the wiring kit. My favorite braking system at etrailer is the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 for the same reason that I like the wiring kit. Once it is installed you simply connect the breakaway cable to your RV and flip a switch to activate the system before heading out. This unit installs in such a way that you hardly even notice that it is in your Jeep when driving your Jeep around. Most flat towing applications require the use of a high-low adapter to ensure that the tow bar stays level.
