How is the mounting of the wheel master wm6600-2 different from cipa 11650? It looks the same but you only show the wm part for a 2005 gmc sierra.

You are correct that the Wheel Masters Eagle Vision Universal Extendable Towing Mirrors # WM6600-2 and the CIPA Universal Deluxe Door-Mount Mirrors # 11650-2 are very similar and that they do install in the same manner on a vehicle door.
If the truck has plastic body molding at the bottom of the door then the CIPA mirrors will not fit and you can use # WM6600-2. Please refer to the linked video.
