I just bought a enclose that has piano Hinges on the rear doors I am wanting to install these T-Strap Hinge for Side and Rear Trailer Doors - 8 Long - Polished Stainless Steel Part Number: PLR3408-PS do you have a video of how to install them i have a good idea how but im wondering and the door Thank You

Hey Reuben, thanks for reaching out. We don't have a video showing how to install the T-Strap Hinge # PLR3408-PS, but I can provide some general instructions for you. It's a pretty straightforward bolt-on hinge, but taking a few minutes to line everything up before drilling makes a big difference. Here are the steps:

1. Support the trailer door in its final position and make sure the gaps are even all the way around.

2. Position the hinge with the bracket mounted to the trailer frame and the strap mounted to the door. Verify the door can swing its full range without binding. This hinge is designed for up to 180° of travel.

3. Clamp the hinge in place and mark all of the mounting holes.

4. Drill the holes to match your hardware. The strap accepts 5/16-inch hardware, and the frame bracket accepts 3/8-inch hardware. Use stainless hardware if you're installing the stainless hinge.

5. Bolt the hinge to the frame first, then bolt it to the door. Tighten everything evenly while checking that the door still opens and closes smoothly.

6. Once the hinge is fully tightened, cycle the door several times to verify there is no binding or sagging. If you're installing multiple hinges, leave all of them slightly loose until they're all mounted, then tighten them after confirming the door is aligned.

6x10 enclosed Trailer with barn doors on the rear. The hinges that bolts to the door. Would they be okay if there is not a frame/ stud?

@RuebenT I wouldn't bolt the hinges straight to the door skin if there's no frame behind it. The skin just isn't strong enough to support the weight of the door, and over time it'll start flexing or pull around the mounting holes. If it were my trailer, I'd either mount the hinges into the door frame or add a steel or aluminum backing plate inside the door to spread the load out.

@JesseM Hey the inside of my rear doors has I believe aluminum backing on the back door I don’t know how to seen the picture though here. To double check it is what you are talking about
