Replacement Leaf Spring Bushings for 1-3/4 inch Springs and 2 Inch Hangers

Updated 04/16/2018 | Published 04/13/2018

Question:

Im trying source new bushings for an old 1979 Jon boat trailer. Ive attached a pic of the old bushing. It is a two piece bushing that has a flange on it that increase the overall thickness of the connection point. The O.D. is 7/8 and I.D. /2. The problem is the total thickness of the connection point to the trailer is 2 inch and leaf spring is only 1/3/4. These bushings have a outer flange that sticks out another 1/4 inch to make up the gap. Do you have these types of bushings or is there an alternative to this style of bushing I could possibly use? Thanks

With those dimensions, we have the Nylon Bushing - 1/2" Inner Diameter, 7/8" Outer Diameter - 1-3/4" Long # TRBU11508. These will work as replacements for your springs, but they will not give you that outer flange. You would need to use flat washers to give you proper spacing since your hangers are 2 inches wide.

The 2 inch wide leaf springs are normally the slipper style springs instead of the double eye springs like what you have. We don't have bushings that are stepped like what you have. We have 2 inch bushings but they have a different inner and outer diameter. Most springs use a 9/16 inner diameter and an 11/16 outer diameter in which case you would be able to use # TRBU12566.
