How to Install the Security Bolt on the Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack Part # STC-V211

Question:

just installed 5x trailer valet, I have one bolt that is chrome in color has about 1/4 inch shaft with out many threads. I can not figure out where it goes please advise

It sounds like you are referring to the security bolt which is part 21b in the attached diagram. The security bolt was designed to keep the Trailer Valet part # STC-V211 in place when the device is rotated to the stow position, and as an extra safety precaution to prevent theft. It does not inhibit the device from being used properly. If you plan to remove the Trailer Valet after every use then you have the option of not installing the bolt and keeping it somewhere safe. Should you choose to install the safety bolt you will want to take a look at the 3:00 mark in the attached video.
