Recommendation For New RV Door Lock For 2015 Keystone Cougar

Question:

I have a 2015 cougar, I need to replace the existing lock FIC/FAP. What I have noticed in exterior measurements are. FIP is 4 1/4inch X 5 Global is 3.47 X 4.28 You mention that they are interchangeable, are they?

I looked at several pictures of 2015 Keystone Cougar RV doors and the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit, Item # 295-000019, looks very similar and I believe will fit. The Global Link Latch Kit replaces original Global Link, Bauer, Lippert Components, Fastec (FIC), or TriMark standard entry door locks. If you have one of these then you are good.

As you pointed out, your dimensions and the dimensions listed are slightly different. However, the Global Link will fit doors that are 1-1/4 inches to 1-1/2 inches thick and installs into latch cutouts that are 2-1/2 inches wide x 3-1/2 inches tall to 3 inches wide x 4 inches tall. You may have to add another rubberized foam gasket or some other foam/filler material to make sure a tight seal against the door and in the space.
