Question:
I need to replace the rear markers on the roof of my trailer. Do you know if this shines out the sides enough to point up on the roof and still be seen?

If you are considering making changes to the lighting on your trailer you may want to refer to the linked article that covers trailer lighting requirements. The required number, type and placement of trailer lights/reflectors varies based on the trailer size and gross weight.
The linked page displays all categories of our trailer lights and reflectors. Just click on, for example, "Clearance Lights" to see items like the LED bar light # MCL97RPG that you referenced.
If you refer to the photo I linked for you, you can see that the design of this light is such that each of the three LED modules has a depth and shape that allows visibility from the sides too.
