Manual Override on Valterra EZ Valve Electric Waste Valve

Question:

Can you please tell me if this is a Momentary/Open and Momentary/Closed type of switch or does the Valve need to fully open before it can close? There are times when the gray valve would need to be cracked and I want to be sure that it can be partially opened and then closed rather than have to open it all the way up. Thanks,

I reached out to the manufacturer about this question and they replied, when the EZ Electric Valve is activated, it is fully open or fully closed. There is no way to throttle the flow.

However, this unit, the Valterra EZ Valve Electric Waste Valve for RV Black Water Tank Item # E1003VP, does have a manual override in case you need to have this unit be partially opened or closed, it can be done.

To activate manual override, there is a pin that is able to be pulled out, then rotate the handle, and then you can open and close the valve very easily, if you ever need to do it manually. In order to stop the manual mode, rotate it back into the bracket, put the pin back in, and then now it should be ready once it's hooked up to power.
