The Valterra Water Regulator for RVs # A01-1120VP helps reduce high pressure water supplies down to a usable pressure for your RV. Most RV's are designed for water at a certain pressure, so having a water pressure beyond what your RV is designed for can lead to burst pipes, leaky fittings, and compromised appliances.
Some RV parks use water pressure that is unregulated and some systems can have up to 115 psi which can cause serious problems for your RV. I recommend you control the water pressure to be around 50 psi. This will give you correct functionality and will protect your RV.
You don't need to worry if a system is 40-50 psi, this regulator will not further regulate that pressure. It will just above 50 psi to flow and reduces anything above that. One way to see if you need a regulator is to run the faucet without any connection. If the water runs faster than your faucet at home, it most likely needs to be regulated to work with your RV.
