All-Square Tire Chains to Fit 35/12.5-17 Tires on 2003 Chevrolet Suburban

Question:

Im trying to find a square straight link tire chain for a 35x12.5r17 sized tire. All I can find on your site are cross link or v-bar link, but Im specifically looking for a square straight link. Thanks!

Square-link chain products that fit your 35/12.5-17 tire size are shown on the linked page. These include items like the Pewag All Square # PWE3235SC which are heavy-duty reversible nickel manganese alloy steel chains.

We do offer a lot of tire chain products including the cable type as well as v-bar, twist-link, diamond pattern and all-square chains. Use of any of these products is subject to the approval of the auto maker since some chains require more clearance inside the wheel wells. It is always best to check your owner's manual for guidance since some vehicles can use chains only on certain specific tire sizes and/or on only one axle or the other. Auto maker approval for chain use also presumes you have one of the stock tire sizes that come on the vehicle from the factory. Larger aftermarket tires may not use suitable for chain use due to clearance concerns.

I reviewed the online edition of the owner's manual for the 2003 Chevrolet Suburban and page 5-68 indicates chains should NOT be used on several 16-inch and 17-inch tires. No mention is made of your tire size. It is best to check your printed manual too.
