Question:
Ive read recommendations for both the TC3231SCAM and PWE3235SC tire chains for 35x12.5x17 inch tires. With chains, the jeep will be used mainly for light to moderate snow and ice, with some off road. Which of the two would be the better choice?

Expert Reply:
Between the two tire chain sets you mentioned of # TC3231SCAM and # PWE3235SC the better choice is the Pewag set # PWE3235SC. Reason being the links are a little smaller at 5.6 mm instead of 7 mm which means you'll have a smoother ride in the lighter snow you mentioned. You'll still have really great traction though. Both sets are also made of the higher quality manganese nickel alloy which is the most durable material for chains.
Other advantages the Pewag set has is the warranty is longer at 90 days compared to 30 days and they are made in the USA.
