I have a box truck with a access door on the side and I wold like to know if the folding step will work on my truck

The TorkLift Glow-Step scissor step assemblies # TLA7804-8000 and # TLA8103 are primarily intended for RV use but there will certainly be other applications where they will work just fine. The key is making sure you will not lose essential ground clearance under the vehicle.
Step # TLA7804-8000 will have a retracted height of close to 11-inches; step # TLA8103 will have a retracted height of close to 15-inches. The extended heights are 34-1/2-inches for # TLA7804-8000 and from 25-1/2 to 32-inches for # TLA8103.
You also need to ensure that the truck's frame provides a suitably strong and appropriately-sized mounting point for the steps.
