Are Replacement 10 Inch Brake Shoes Available?

Updated 11/27/2017 | Published 11/24/2017

Question:

I own a boat trailer w double axles. The front axle has drum brakes on it, what appears 10 inch drums. The coupler is like your item T4500600. I am not sure the brakes are working. I will open up the drums to inspect. I might need new drum cylinders. How do I bleed the system if I put new drum cylinders on ? I also did not see brake shoes for my 10 inch drums, do you have those ? Or do I need to replace the whole unit ? like w Demco Trailer Brakes - 40716-15 ? thank you !

There are a number of trailer brake shoes available for 10" hydraulic drum brakes, such as the 10" X 2-1/4" Hydraulic Brake Shoe/Lining # BP04-120 which will fit Atwood, Bendix, Dexter, and Dico 10" X 2-1/4" hydraulic brakes, or the Replacement Brake Shoes for Titan 10" Free-Backing Hydraulic Trailer Brakes # T4744800. I will link you to our page with our selection of brake shoes so you can find the correct replacement for your brakes. As for bleeding the system, there is an informative video I have linked for you which is going to show you the exact process in order to make it easier for you.
