The Hub Saver is a patented safety device that helps keep the hub and wheel assembly attached during an outer bearing failure. Instead of immediately losing the wheel, you have an opportunity to slow down, move out of traffic, and stop in a safer location. The Hub Saver does not prevent bearing failure and does not replace proper bearing maintenance. Proper installation of the spindle nut, castle nut, cotter pin, or locking hardware remains critical, and the Hub Saver is intended only to help retain the hub and wheel assembly long enough to safely leave the roadway and make repairs.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Hub Saver. Now, this is a hub and wheel protector that fits six-lug trailers. And what it's designed to do is prevent the loss of your hub and or wheel assembly during an outer bearing failure. So if you're pulling a camper, trailer, et cetera, if you have an outer bearing that fails, that hub and drum assembly or that hub assembly, or that wheel and tire could all fall off, potentially strike another motorist driving on the highway causing damage to others and other equipment.
So this is a great add-on to prevent that liability and just kind of save you money in the long time, especially downtime, towing fees, all that kind of stuff. These work with any race number 15245, but it's designed mainly for six-lug hubs. So if you have a six-lug hub or a race on a hub that's a 15245, this should work fine with it. And the way it installs is you take your castle nut off and you take that compression washer off. This goes in front of all those and then you put those back in place.

Just what I need to keep wheel hubs in place. Don’t want the damage having a wheel and hub coming off , that would make a bad day.
I have not installed them yet, but they appear to be a fit, and most certainly sturdy and strong. I'll update this review if they don't work. But then of course, no one ever wrote a bad review for a parachute.

Have not taking out on the road yet since the installation, But it was an easy job .
