Hitch Cargo Carrier Compatibility with Class C Motorhome for 2 Mopeds
Updated 10/02/2017 | Published 10/01/2017 >
Question:
Can you tell me why this is not recommended for behind a Motorhome? I have a class IV with a 500# tounge weight limit on my Thor Class C Motorhome. I would like to haul my Vespa and Honda mopeds behind combined weight 400# and this product seems like a great fit. Please advise.

Some Class C motorhome trailer hitches have the tongue weight capacity to handle the tongue weight of your mopeds, but we don't have a dual carrier for motorcycles or scooters like yours. The reason why most carriers aren't rated for use on an RV is because the weight and possible sway could cause by adding weight further behind the axle can cause an issue. Many manufacturers have changed their perspective on motorhomes versus trailers simply because motorhomes do handle this additional weight better than 5th wheel or travel trailers.
Because we do not have a carrier for two mopeds, my recommendation is to use the cargo carrier # CC-100 which will be compatible with your motorhome and the weight of your mopeds.
