The Aries Round Nerf Bars part # AA204001 which are a confirmed fit for your 1997 GMC C/K Series Pickup 2-Door Extended Cab measure 74.8" long x 3" diameter. The distance between the two step pads is 31" on center. For a polished version, you will want to use part # AA204001-2.

I have attached a set of no-drill installation instructions of these nerf bars in addition to a list for all of the nerf bar and cab step options we have for your vehicle at this time.
