Are 15 Inch Wheels With a 5 on 5 Bolt Pattern Available?
Question:
Can I just get a new 5 on 4 1/2 hub with new bearings? Then I can get the 5 split spoke wheels I want. Are the 5 on 5 wheels supposed to be stronger than a 5 on 4 1/2?

You have come to the right place, because we have a number of 15 inch wheels with a 5 on 5 bolt pattern. Other sizes are more prevalent, such as the 5 on 4-1/2 you mentioned, but there are options for you.
The most popular of these we offer is the Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel # AM20538DX. You can see how the Dexstar look on a trailer in the photo I've attached.
If you were more interested in white spoke wheels, those are also available. The most popular of this style we offer is the Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel # AM20428.
I've attached links to video reviews of each of these wheels for you to take a look at.
You could change from a hub with a 5 on 5 bolt pattern to one with a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern as long as the new hubs have the correct weight capacity and use the same bearings as your existing hubs. The 5 on 5 wheels are not stronger, that is just the bolt pattern which is measured from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole adjacent to it.
