Depth of Hitch Opening of MaxxTow Hitch Extender # HE6000

Question:

What is the inside depth of the larger tube, the one that will receive my trailer or bike rack, from the center of the pin hole to the edge of the smaller tube inside. I bought an 8inch version of another manufacturer and my bike rack needed an extra half inch of depth. The overlap on the interior of the tube prevented it from sliding in far enough to get a pin.

The Advantage SportsRack Hitch Extender for 2" Trailer Hitches # HE6000 is a hitch extender for 2 inch hitch receivers. The larger tube is about 5-1/2 inches deep. It offers four extensions of 5-3/4", 8-1/4" or 8-1/2", or 11" out from the hitch based on which hole you use in the hitch receiver and which hole you use for your accessory. Remember using a hitch extender reduces the hitch's weight capacity by 50 percent and it cannot be used to tow a trailer.
