What is the distance between arms on the Saris Bones 3?

I went out to our warehouse and measured the distance between the arms on the Saris Bones 3, part # SA801BL.

It is 8-3/4 inches between the centers of the bike holders, and the outside of the arms are about 9-1/2 inches apart, and 7-1/2 inches in the middle.

If you have Women's, Childrens, Step-through or aggressive (BMX/Mountain) framed bikes you want to carry, you can easily adjust this distance by using a Swagman Frame Adapter Bar, part # 64005. This will let you mount the bikes level onto the Saris Bones 3 and help reduce the risk of damage to your bikes or vehicles caused by sway or bumps.
