Question:
Hi, I need to upgrade the weight rating for my equalizer hitch due to heavier tongue weight. Will these 1200 lb spring bars fit in my hitch head that has the 1000 lb bars? Thanks,

In order to increase the capacity of your Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET to 1,200 pounds of tongue weight, you will indeed need to replace the spring bars. The Replacement Spring Bars # EQ90-01-1299 referenced in your question are the correct bars for this and will provide a 1,200 pound tongue weight capacity.
In order to make this conversion, you will also need to replace the head for your system with the Replacement Head # EQ90-02-1200. This is because the existing spring bars on your system have different dimensions than the 1,200 pound bars, so a compatible head unit is needed when making the change.
