Question:
I have a 2012 Toyota Tacoma 4WD, 4 door, TRD Sport, 6cyn, long bed. I just had a custom rear bumper installed and now my tail lights are being blocked. I am looking at installing Item # STL72RB or Item # STL42RB in the bumper. Is there a wiring harness or adapter that I can plug into my current tail lights to easily wire up one of these two parts?

Expert Reply:
Both of the Optronics LED stop/turn/tail lights you referenced, parts # STL72RB and # STL42RB, use a 3-prong connector, either straight plug # A45PB or right-angle plug # A47PB. These fit the receptacles on the back of the light housings and provide 10-inch pigtails leads for connection.
For a plug-n-play 4-pole harness to power the lights you can use the Tekonsha kit # 118496 which connects at the Tacoma's taillights with custom-fit connectors. You'll then cut off the 4-pole plug and use butt connectors # 05730-5 and dielectric grease # LT37534 to ensure a clean reliable connection.
