Question:
Looking for a plug for my 2008 Mazda 6. There is a 4 prong plug at the middle brake light. Can I use the following plug to power an after market spoiler I put on with a brake light? I can send a picture of the plug on the mazda if that would help.20127

Expert Reply:
The Replacement Brake Control Plug-In Harness for Tekonsha and Draw-Tite Brake Controller 12" Long # 20127 is not a fit for your 3rd brake light on your 2008 Mazda 6. To power your aftermarket spoiler, you only need to tap into the power signal of that stop light wire and then add a ground wire if the ground isn't already in the spoiler mounting. I recommend using # 16-1-1 wire sold by the foot and Quick Splice Connector # SWC501925-1. You can use circuit tester # PTW2993 to determine wire function as this third brake light in the middle is already isolated correctly and the correct power wire should only have power when the brake pedal is pressed.
