It has a weight capacity of 45 lbs per bike. The distance between the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the wheel hoop is 12-1/2 inches. It has a maximum wheel base of 60 inches. For this rack, I recommend the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable Lock for Hollywood Racks Commuter, Traveler, Sport Rider Bike Racks # HRLHPTC.

The SportRack 2 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Platform Style has a measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the upright mast of 19 inches.
