Question:
I need a brake controller for a 2011 Cadillac Escalade. It is the shorter vehicle. Does it have plug and play? I could not find it under the dash.

I have the perfect brake controller for your 2011 Cadillac Escalade in the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195. Unfortunately, they do not make a plug in adapter for your vehicle therefore, you will want to hardwire the included wiring harness into the your vehicle's factory wiring harness.
To do this, you will only have to connect 4 wires. The black wire from the back of the brake controllers wiring harness will need to be attach to a 12-volt power circuit, the red wire will need to be connected to the stop light switch. The white wire is the ground, and the blue wire is for the brakes. To test each of these wires for their corresponding functions, you will want to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993.
If you do not already have a trailer connector installed on your vehicle, you will need both theCurt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part # C59236 and the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7 to activate both the trailer's brakes and lighting functions.
I have attached an installation video of a brake controller installed on a similar 2009 Cadillac Escalade for you.
