Yes, the Equalizer Shank part # EQ90-02-4700 that you referenced can be used with other brand weight distribution heads. Basically all of the WD system manufacturers decided to use the same dimensions for their heads and shanks so all of the shanks are interchangeable.
The # EQ90-02-4700 is a great solution for fitting a system in to a 2-1/2 inch hitch.
