Question:

Im thinking about replacing my curt sway bar hitch as it does not work. I have a new 32 ft. toy hauler with a 1000 pound tongue. Will the following product get rid of all of the sway, Item # EQ37121ET? Please let me know. Thanks.

While no system is guaranteed to completely eliminate all sway a properly ratged Equal-i-zer weight distribution system is the best soluiton. Equal-i-zer systems use 4-point sway control, and are one of the most well recognized brands in the industry. The main thing is to get a system that is rated properly for your setup. My guess is the Curt system you have is underrated for your trailer.

The Equal-I-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET is rated for up to 1,000 pounds of tongue weight. When choosing a system you need to add your loaded trailer's tongue weight to the amount of weight you have stored behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. Since your trailer is already at 1,000 pounds you're going to need a system that is rated higher.

If the 1,000 pound tongue weight you mentioned is with the trailer loaded then you may be able to use the 1,200 pound Eqaul-i-zer # EQ37120ET. It just depends how much weight you have behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. If you need the 1,400 pound system it's # EQ37140ET.

Installing the hitch ball is made easier by using a thin walled socket like # ALL643216.
