Question:
Hi I have a need to upgrade my trailer tow system. Looking at the equalizer 90-00-1269 vs the curt 17501. I want a complete system including 2 5/16 ball. Am I on the right track? Any quality difference? Looking for the best value. Thanks

Expert Reply:
Between the two kits you mentioned the Equal-i-zer part # EQ37120ET is the best choice. This is the highest quality option out there for a weight distribution system and is what Curt tried to emulate with their TruTrack part # C17501. The Curt kit is relatively newer and while not a bad system by any means does not have the decades long tried and true reliability that the Equal-i-zer kits have. It will perform the best and last the longest. Plus it comes with the 2-5/16 inch ball you want plus all parts needed to install.
