Question:
I have a boat trailer that I am looking to convert the hubs from 5 on 4.5 to GM 6 5.5. Is there a hub available so I can use my GM wheels on my boat trailer?

We have a large selection of trailer hubs with a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern.
In order to determine if any of these will fit onto the spindle for your trailer, you will need to remove one of the hubs and check for the bearing numbers on the existing unit. The numbers should be stamped onto the bearings themselves. If you cannot locate them, you can also take a few measurements along the trailer spindle where the bearings sit. I have attached an image that shows where these measurements will be taken. I recommend using a digital caliper like # PTW80157, as the measurements will need to be exact.
For example, the etrailer.com Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K has a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern and uses the # 25580 inner bearing and # 15123 outer bearing. I have attached a link that will take you to our available selection of hub assemblies that have a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern.
I also would advise against using GM or other vehicle wheels on a trailer. Vehicle wheels differ from trailer wheels in that they will typically have an offset in order for them to fit properly into the wheel wells on a passenger vehicle. Because of this, it is very possible that your GM wheels will not fit properly on your trailer.
I have included a couple of links on trailer hubs and bearings that you might also find helpful.
