What Size Wheels Are Designed To Work With A 235/85 R16 Trailer Tire

Question:

Will a 235/85 R16 tire fit on a 6inch rim or does it need to be wider? Im replacing 235/80 R16

Yes, a 235/85 R16 tire is designed to fit a trailer wheel with a 6" or 6-1/2" wide wheel. For a premium 235/85 R16 tire option, I recommend using the Westlake ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire part # LHWL410 as all Westlake brand tires come with a 5 years warranty and 2 year roadside assistance compared to the standard 2 year warranty among other manufacturers.

A more cost effective alternative for a 235/85 R16 tire is our Karrier ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire part # AM10295. Both tire options are a radial ply in that they are ideal for long distance travel.
