Which is Preferred Wheel Width for Use with 235/85-16 6 or 7 inch Wide

Question:

For 235/85-16 G rated tires do you recommend 6inch or 7inch wide rims ? Will be use on 2016 35foot Sandstorm TH. THX

Hey Milos, so both a 6 inch and 7 inch wide wheel fit perfectly fine with the tire size 235/85-16 but I personally prefer going wider since that in theory makes the tread of the tire a little flatter although it would not make a huge difference.

Thanks Jameson, Lot of those tires in 235/85-16 size call for 6.5 " wide rims, but not sure if just half inch will make such difference over 6". But thought 1" maybe could. I find on your web site the Aluminum Eagle Trailer Wheel part #LH68VR which have a very good price, but just worry if such low price maybe mean poor quality. THX milos

@MilosE As long as it's within the width range that the tire was designed for you are totally fine and you don't have to worry. I would also agree that the part # LH68VR is priced really low while looking like it would be a lot more expensive. It's a very solid and reliable brand wheel that is very high quality.
