Comparing The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System To The FlexiRide Half Torsion Axle System

Question:

Struggle to make a decision.I have a offroad overland trailer that carries all or camping gear and rooftop top. it is pulled behind a lifted Jeep JKU. The current clearance from the bottom of the frame rail on the trailer is 19.5 inches. I plan to remove the axle and leaf springs and go to an axle-less setup but I dont want to lose any ground clearance. I am not sure whether I should get the Timbren A12WS545 or the Flexiride FF-140B-2. I was hoping I could get some expert opinion. I know you dont stock the Flexiride, but you are the experts.

For an off road overland trailer, I recommend you go with the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System with Hubs - 5 on 4-1/2 - Off-Road Tires - 1,200 lbs # A12WS545 and not just because we carry them...as I know seems like a conflict of interest. The Flexiride system even with a 1,400 lb capacity is not made for off road and the suspension is a torsion system with rubber cartridge on each side. The Timbren system uses more of a jounce style bumper that the company is known for regarding vehicle suspension enhancement. This compression jounce spring will give you far more durability than a torsion system by taking the brunt of the impact. You can see by the design that this system is designed to resist and absorb impact versus just absorb it. This system can also be mounted to your trailer using a 2 inch square rod between the springs in the included holes if a cross member of the trailer is not present and will still give you greater ground clearance and stability.
