is there such a thing as a 6 in riser from receiver hitch that will take a trailer tongue directly, that is handle the trailer?

It sounds like you're looking for either a ball mount or high-low adapter with 6 inches of rise.
If you're looking for a high-low adapter we have # RM-076 that has 6 inches or rise or drop.
If it's a ball mount you need then we have # C45090 which has a 6 inch rise. In this case you may also need a hitch ball. Use # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch ball, # 63845 for a 2 inch ball, or # 63847 for a 2-5/16 inch ball. You'll need to choose the correct size ball that fits your trailer's coupler.
