Question:
I am a carpenter and in need of one of these. Could you add a wheel to this to make it more heavy duty?

Expert Reply:
The Erickson Big Bed Load Extender for 2" Hitches - 400 lbs # EM07600 is a fairly strong accessory. It is not recommended to add a wheel to this product and it would void the manufacturer warranty. Most other products rated for this application are rated at 350 lb load capacity so the Erickson extender is a little beefier. When in use it measures 52-1/2" long x 48-1/2" wide.
I recommend using ratchet straps like the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps w/ Push Button Releases - 1" x 10' - 400 lbs - Qty 2 # EM34415 with this application.
