Which Direction Should Leaf Springs Be Installed on a Trailer

Question:
In which direction should you mount the spring i feel that the spring captivation clip should be closest to the rigid mount or opposite of the equalizer . I am asking if the spring works better one direct or the other .

The steel band around leaf springs, such as # e94SR, is typically installed in front of the axle. However, it doesn't really matter either way.
