Question:
Have a 2017 Toyota Tacoma access cab with v6 tow package. Want to secure a North Star 600ss pop up truck camper into the bed. Would like to use Torklift frame mounted tie downs. Toyota says the frame is same as 2016 model. The Toyota.com phone contact I spoke with believes the 2016 Torklift should fit because the frame is the same. Will the Torklift frame mounted tie downs work? I can not find a the Torklift product on your website for a 2017 Toyota Tacoma

I reached out to Torklift and they have never had a fit for a Toyota Tacoma because their hitches are for capacities greater than that size truck can handle. This means that the camper tie downs compatible with their hitch will not work for you due to the lack of a hitch compatible with your vehicle.
For your 2017 Toyota Tacoma, I recommend the Brophy Clamp On Camper Tie-Downs - Bed Mount - Black Powder Coated Steel - Qty 4 # HSAB. These tie downs clamp into the bed rail of your truck to provide the attachement point for your camper. It comes with Neoprene pads to protect your truck's paint. I've attached a photo with the dimensions for you to confirm a fit.
Another option is to use the Brophy Stake Pocket Mounted Camper Tie Downs - Bed Mount - Black Powder Coated Steel - Qty 4 # TDSF. This comes with 3 removable spacers to allow a tight fit in your stake pockets. I've attached a photo of these dimensions as well for you.
With either option, I recommend the Brophy Basic Turnbuckles w/ Hardware for Camper Tie-Downs - 3,000 lbs - Qty 4 # TDHP. This turnbuckle will expand from 7-5/8 inches to 20 inches and with the included chain and S hook can reach up to 19-3/4 inches.

I had a 2014 Toyota Tacoma with an access cab, now have a 2020 Tacoma access cab. I carry a Northstar 600ss camper. I have had/have Torklift tie downs on both vehicles and they work fine to carry the camper. I did need to put in air bag suspension in both trucks to accommodate for the weight of the camper.
